ABC Puppy Head Start
Whether your puppy is still at the breeder’s or already chewing your slippers, the Puppy Head Start gets you off on the right paw. Four force-free, games-based sessions, a puppy booklet, and support from your first session until 8 weeks after your last. Everything you need to give the best start to your pup.
Having been through the puppy stage with 3 of my dogs I know what it is like! Also having studied some of the science behind the stage it puts me in a good place to help you get through it.
What’s included
Inlcludes:
- First visit (90 mins) – ideally before your puppy arrives, or in the early days if they’re already home
- Three follow-up sessions (1 hour each) – spread over the following weeks as your puppy grows
- The ABC Puppy Booklet – your go-to guide for the first months, packed with games, routines, training tracker and tips
- Support all the way through – between sessions and for 8 weeks after your final one, by WhatsApp or email, plus one 15-minute phone call. I will be there to answer your questions.
- [In-person only] €15 off ABC Beginner Classes – carry on learning with other dogs (€70 instead of €85)
How it works
Four sessions, timed around your puppy’s first weeks with you. Already got your puppy? No problem – we simply combine getting ready and settling in.
- Before or just after pup arrives – Getting ready and settling in (90 mins). Puppy-proofing, rest and toilet spots, equipment, the first 48 hours, sleep, and getting the whole family on the same page.
- A week or two later – Settling and first skills. Toilet training, settling, handling, early games and getting through the nippy stage.
- A few weeks later – Building skills. Foundations for focus, recall, lead walking and calm, plus safe, positive socialisation.
- Around a month on – Next steps. We review progress, troubleshoot, prioritise training targets and plan for the adolescent months ahead.
All sessions use force-free, positive methods, with games-based training.
Sessions are to be used within 3 months of your first visit.
Support between and after sessions
You’re never on your own – support starts at your first session and carries on for 8 weeks after your last. Whether a new struggle has appeared, you have a bit of the puppy blues or just need help with fitting everything in, I will be there to help you through it.

- One 15-minute phone call, booked in advance, to use whenever you need it most

FAQs
When should I book? As soon as you know your puppy is coming – ideally 1-2 weeks before collection day, so there’s time to get everything ready. Already home? Book straight away.
My puppy is already home – is it too late? Not at all. Your first visit becomes a getting-ready-and-settling-in session, and everything else stays the same.
What age is this for? Puppies up to around 6 months.
Do I need to pay upfront? Yes – payment secures your sessions.
What happens after the package? Your €15 discount is ready to use on ABC Beginner Classes, so you can keep the learning going with other pups. Other lessons and classes are available.
My dog is older but this sort of package would be helpful? No problem, it can be adapted to any dog at any stage of life.
